Welcome to my software project page.
There is an update for amber. (9/30/03)
Much of this stuff is software I wrote during my time at the University of Richmond. I'm now at UF in graduate school, but I update this stuff as often as I can. All of the software I release is GPL'd in some way, or simply free. I always love email from people who use my stuff, so don't hestitate to drop me a line if you've made some mod to the code or have a bug report.
Above is a screenshot of a program I wrote to trigger audio samples on a computer/piano piece I wrote called Lullaby. I'll release that software as soon as I write some documentation for it :)
- sndplay, a command-line sound player for Mac OS X. 10.2 and 10.3 friendly!
- Amber, a command-line based Granular Synthesis application. Amber was written for Linux, but will compile on many UNIX variants, including Mac OS X.
- forteRev, a MAX external which provides Forte Number to Prime Form conversion, for use in musical set theory patches.
- SetCalc, also a MAX external, which allows the user to enter a pitch class set and returns the Prime, Normal, and Sorted forms, as well as the Forte Number and Interval Class Vector.
- I used to maintain a cross-platform version of PVC by Paul Koonce, but Dr. Koonce has since released an OS X version. If you're interested in my (older) version, there is still a copy here. Please note this is not the latest version and I'm not maintaining it anymore.
